Welcome to OIS Literacy Network -

This wiki has been created with information and resources from the Penn Literacy Network Course: PLN1: Forming & Reforming Reading/Writing/Talking Across the Curriculum for grades 5 through 8. The purpose of this wiki is to provide OIS teachers with best practice resources to enhance reading, writing and talking activities across your curriculum area. The philosophy of the course is a nice match to our Learning Focus Schools initiative as many resources can be used as activating, teaching or summarizing strategies. Feel free to add resources to the wiki that you think may be beneficial to your colleagues in the area of reading, writing and/or talking across all curriculum areas. This is not a public wiki. Only OIS teachers have access to it at this time.
